18th Century : Curious cup hook with cherub face on front possibly originating from a Welsh Dresser. 

Length back of backplate to front of face: 45mm. (1 3/4")
Internal depth of projection 38mm. (1 1/2")
Collar diam. 16mm. (5/8")
Height of face 25mm. (1")
Screw thread aprox. 20mm. (3/4")

Makes an interesting towel hook.

It is recommended that if selecting screw thread option, a pilot hole is drilled and pre-cut with a steel screw of slightly smaller size before screwing in the casting to avoid shearing.
