Product Description

20th Century : A brass castor cup for protecting carpets or floors from scuff damage from castors and feet.

Option : 4mm thick (1/8") self-stick felt pad applied to the underside. (For increased protection such as polished wooden or laminate floors).

External diam. at bulge 48mm. (1 7/8")
Internal diam. at rim 44mm. (1 3/4")
Height without felt pad 13mm. (1/2")
Wall thickness (variable) 1.5mm. (1/16")

Castor wheels can damage varnished floors or porcelain tiles, apart from being noisy. These castor cups provide an attractive character solution to scuffing, avoiding mass produced plastic castor cups which tend to break up with continued use, and also look cheap.

If the protector cup is for antique chair or dining table castors, it can be annoying if the castors lift out of the cups when moved. For solutions see our frequently asked questions section (F.A.Q's)

Please note if plated option is selected, we need to make a tiny unobtrusive hole in the centre of the base in order to suspend in plating tank.
