Product Description

19th Century : Ceiling rose with open hook and lotus leaf collar.

OPTION FIXING PREFERENCE : Concealed plate fixing for screwing to underside of beam / floor joist / tie spacer (see images).

OPTION FIXING PREFERENCE : Concealed top hung through joist. Unnecessary internal components removed, and replaced with a 279mm. (11") central rod protruding beyond face plate and threaded all the way up. Rod external diam. 12.5mm. (1/2") ; internal diam. 10mm. 3/8") with washer, nut and locking nut. Can be passed through beam / floor joist / tie spacer (if accessible from above) to tighten nut.

Height 122mm. (4 13/16")

Gap in hook 10mm. (3/8")

10mm. (3/8") hole through centre to thread electric cable / steel cable.

NOTE: No fixing screws are provided with this item. Although the hook should be capable of supporting loads of up to 45 kilos, we decline responsibility of fixing or hook failure.

Note: Some chandeliers can be very heavy, and to avoid support failure, since the load bearing capabilities of these products is variable, we recommend threading a length of load tested 2mm. steel security wire (available from a marine supplier or most hardware superstores) through the links or hang alongside. Secure with an eye bolt into the underside of the ceiling joist, and a shackle onto the chandelier ring to be supported.

The primary load tested support will therefore be the steel security wire (usually up to 120kg) which is reasonably discreet, and the decorative ceiling rose will provide the visual ambience and beomes the secondary means of support.
