18th Century : Castor astragal collar.

External rim diam. 30mm. (1 1/8")
Internal rim diam. 28mm. (1 1/16")
Depth 10mm. (3/8")
Depth of top rebate to ledge 4mm. (3/16")
Depth of underside rebate to ledge 4mm. (3/16")
Height 9.5mm. ((3/8")

Plain external astragal design with internal ledge.

An end of leg capping in which the flat plate of a plate castor fits giving an elegant decorative finish to the leg.
