"I cannot thank you enough for resolving the problem I faced trying to restore the lid of the writing bureau which had become detached with its three hinges failing when it was inadvertently opened without drawing out the two supports. I had scoured the Internet looking for similar hinges but these are not manufactured today. The replacement hingeswhich you have sent me have precisely the correct dimensions and have fitted perfectly into the original recessed slots with the screw holes aligning also precisely. The end result is a unit that is restored to its original condition and we are all delighted! With much appreciation for the interest you have taken in the matter and for the satisfactory outcome. I conveyed to you my disappointment in what I perceived to be the quality of the castings. Today I finally got to the point of installing the castings on the bed and found that the time required to buff out the scratches was minimal. The irregularities from the originals add significantly to "age" of the piece. I am very pleased with the results and I sincerely apologize for my initial reaction. I shall not hesitate to order from you in the future. I have attached a photo of the nearly completed bed.
